This July, a team of twenty adults and teens from the Conejo Church will go on a two week mission trip to the Made-in-the-Streets (MITS) ministry in Nairobi, Kenya to work with street kids. This is the third team we’ve sent to Nairobi in four years.
Our primary project will be to run Camp “Born to Run,” a weeklong camp we are creating that is built on the teachings and themes of Hebrews 12:1-3. This camp, which is designed for the 60 kids in the MITS program, includes daily times of class, worship, skits, quiet times, small group discussion, arts and crafts, music video making, shared meals, group games, athletics, and a movie night. Camp Born to Run will culminate with a 5K/10K race for the entire MITS team of students and teachers.
