We have a number of special summer outings and activities designed for a variety of ages. Come and enjoy great times of ministry, fellowship, mission, recreation, and fun during the summer months.
San Felipe Mission Trip (June 18-25)
Each year for the past 22 years, our youth group has gone on a summer mission trip; this year’s trip to San Felipe, Mexico, is for the purpose of building a home for a local family.
SonQuest Rainforest Vacation Bible School (June 22 – 25)
Vacation Bible School is for kids ages four through entering the fifth grade from Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. through noon. Join us as we explore parables, see and touch rainforest inhabitants, engage in hands-on activities and crafts, develop new friendships, and practice serving others. An annual highlight of our children’s ministry.
Nairobi Mission Trip 2010 (June 28 – July 14)
One of the great mission efforts we support is Made in the Streets, a ministry in Nairobi, Kenya that provides homeless teenage kids a place to live, an education, job training, an introduction to faith, and a new start on the future. We are sending a team of 21 to lead a week-long camp for street kids and work on a variety of projects for this wonderful ministry.
All-Sing and Ice Cream (Sunday, July 18)
Congregational all-sing and home-made ice cream starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Conejo Church building - a perfect combination for a summer evening!
Won By One Concert (Wednesday, July 28)
Enjoy an evening of great a capella music with Won By One of Pepperdine University. Concert begins at 7:00 p.m.
Pismo Beach Camping and ATV Riding Trip (July 28-30)
Enjoy the adventure of beach camping and sand dune riding on ATVs!
Teen Kamp (August 1 - 7)
Teen camp is for students who have just completed 7th – 12th grade. This year’s theme is “Time.”
Dodger Game and Fireworks (Saturday, August 7)
Los Angeles Dodgers game against the Washington Nationals on Hollywood Stars Night.
King’s Kamp (August 8 - 14)
King’s Kamp provides an opportunity for kids to learn more about God, his Son, his Word and his creation in the enjoyable atmosphere of a bible camp. This years theme is “WANTED: DEAD and ALIVE.” For boys and girls entering 4th through 8th grades.
Game Night (Sunday, August 15)
The fun starts at 6:00 p.m. at the Conejo Church building; bring your favorite board and card games and share in some friendly competition. A great opportunity for intergenerational bonding and smack-talk!
Sycamore Canyon Hike-N-Bike( Saturday, August 21)
Starting at the top of Sycamore Canyon, hikers gather at 9:00 a.m. and bikers at 10:30 a.m. to enjoy an eight mile downhill adventure to Sycamore Cove Beach. Beach picnic, swimming, and relaxing await at the end of the hike.
Kindergarten Blessing(TBD)
Kindergartners and their families join in a special evening of prayer and affirmation as they begin their formal educational journeys.
