College Small Group, Sunday Mornings, 9:00 a.m.

DESCRIPTION: College and graduate students: come be part of a college group at Conejo. The class will begin at 9:00 a.m. for breakfast followed by class from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. This fall, we will be exploring and discussing the spiritual disciplines in a class titled “Liberating Disciplines.”
Nairobi 2010 Mission Team, Sunday Afternoons, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.,
1st Sunday of each month (unless otherwise noted)

DESCRIPTION: Those planning on taking part in next summer’s short term mission trip to the Made in the Streets ministry in Nairobi, Kenya, will meet monthly to pray, plan, learn, and coordinate their efforts. Bring a lunch.
Crafty Women (starts 9/27),

DESCRIPTION: Women of all ages are invited to come enjoy a time of fellowship and deepening relationships with one another while making progress on their project of choice – scrapbooking, crocheting, quilting, card making, jewelry making, etc.
Sunday Night Youth Group Devotional, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
High School meets on 1st and 3rd Sundays
Junior High meets on 2nd and 4th Sundays

DESCRIPTION: The High School and Junior High will meet on alternating Sunday Nights at various homes around the Conejo Valley. Check for the location each week in the Family News. Topic will vary weekly as different students or adults take the lead in our devotional time together.
Sunday Night Oak Park Small Group, 6:00 p.m.

DESCRIPTION: This fall study group will read and discuss thoughtful contemporary Christian writings. Come and gain insight into life and living through a study of these books.
Monday Night Guys’ Group, 7:00 p.m.
Location: Home of Mike R., Agoura Hills
DESCRIPTION: Christian guys need brothers who have their back, who share fellowship and friendship, who choose to stand by each other and walk together through all that comes. All built on the truths of what God has done to and for us. The focus of this group will be on fellowship in all the forms it can take (eating, reading, praying, studying the Word, Monday night football, etc.). This fall, we will be reading John Orteberg's book, “Everyone’s Normal ‘Til You Get to Know Them.”
Monday Night Women’s Bible Study, 7:00 p.m.
Location: home of Paula M., Thousand Oaks
DESCRIPTION: Women of all ages are invited to come and study and discuss God’s word, pray together, and build friendships. We will be working through and discussing the book “Frappe with Philippians” by Sandra Glahn.
Thousand Oaks Bible Study, Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.

DESCRIPTION: Come join us! Our discussion-oriented group alternates between studying Scripture and thoughtful Christian literature. If you’re able, join us for a brown bag dinner at 6:30. Our study begins about 7:15, and we close with a time of prayer together. We’re currently studying Ecclesiastes.
Wednesday Night Youth Nite, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

DESCRIPTION: This is the highlight of our week for the youth group (both high school and middle school). It is a fast-paced evening of food, song, and fellowship. Each week will feature practical biblical teaching, fun learning activities, small group discussion, and prayer.
Hungry/Thirsty Small Group Bible Study, Wednesdays, 6:45 p.m.

DESCRIPTION: Hungry for the bread of life? Thirsty for meaningful Christian fellowship? Yearning for a safe place to discuss the joys and challenges you face in your discipleship to Christ? Join us for a weekly time of conversation, study, and prayer over dessert and coffee.
Thursday Night Tutoring for Conejo School Kids, 6:30 p.m. (begins mid-October)
Location: Conejo Valley Church Building, led by Jaime W.
DESCRIPTION: Volunteers provide weekly homework assistance and friendship for grade-school-aged children from Conejo Elementary School. Sessions will begin once progress reports go out, will break for the Christmas holidays, and then resume during the winter and spring quarters.
Couples and Young Families Study, Thursdays, 6:00 p.m.
Location: home of Alan and Sharon B., Thousand Oaks
DESCRIPTION: Bring dinner at 6:00 if you want or just come for fellowship. We'll begin the study around 6:30. Kids are welcome and will have their own activities as well. We will choose the topic of study once we begin meeting. Typically, the study, discussion, and prayer time concludes around 8pm.
Captivating: Women’s Devo/Prayer Group, 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at 8:00 a.m. (begins 9/26)
